Goldstone Hall Wedding – Lee & David
It’s been a busy summer, I’ll be catching up with blog postings over the coming weeks. It was a real pleasure to photograph Lee & David’s Goldstone Hall Wedding back in July. Their wedding was tight-knit and intimate and they couldn’t have asked for a better day of glorious sunshine after a week of torrential rain.
The ceremony itself took place outside, under the semi-enclosed pavilion in Goldstone Hall’s absolutely glorious garden. Lee & David were keen to keep things relaxed and their day was a perfect reflection of this, unfussy, easy-going and with plenty of time for the simple stuff, catching-up, chatting and spending time with their closest friends and family. I shoot a lot of larger weddings and sometimes it’s a welcome change to photograph a day as uncluttered and unpretentious as this. Lee & David make a tremendous pair. David is more gregarious, Lee more reserved, but they’re both wonderfully warm and friendly guys. There was also a huge amount of emotion kicking about on the day. This is quite normal for a wedding day, but on occasion it just feels particularly charged. Lee & David’s wedding was like this and it added to what already felt extremely special.
My thanks to Lee & David for having me along, it was a privilege to shoot your day.
