Back in November I was at Froyle Park for the 2026 edition of The Wedding Industry Awards. I was absolutely thrilled to win, for the second year in a row, Highly Commended in the South Central Region. The competition was extremely fierce this year and I honestly didn’t think I’d walk away with anything, but it was a lovely surprise to be recognised after another hugely successful year in the wedding photography business.
I’ve been documenting weddings for coming up on 18 years now and in that time I’ve photographed around 400 weddings. I’ve never been a stack’em high, sell’em cheap photographer – I’m honestly much more interested in offering something unique and tailored for my clients. Treating the job as a craft is essential for me because I honestly don’t think I’d find it sustainable if the aim was simply to shoot as many weddings as possible.
TWIA is all about recognising wedding suppliers who provide something distinct and special. I’m honoured to find myself in this company again.
Charlotte came with me on the night and I just want to take a moment to say thank you to her for being an incredible and ever-present support. I draw upon her wisdom, kindness and positivity pretty much every day and I love her to bits – I am a lucky man!
