There’s something truly special about a Millbridge Court wedding. Nestled in the heart of the Surrey countryside, this venue combines breathtaking natural light, elegant architecture, and a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor spaces. Grace & George’s black-tie wedding in mid-May was a perfect example of just how magical this setting can be.

The Dress – A Suzanne Neville Masterpiece with a Twist

Grace wore a breathtaking Suzanne Neville dress, but what truly set it apart was the incredible tulle cape she paired with it. Designed by textile artist Andrea Kerry, this unique piece replaced a traditional veil with a design that draped over her arms as sleeves, creating a flowing, ethereal silhouette. It was one of the most interesting dress accessories I’ve ever seen, and it suited her perfectly—elegant, stylish, and just a little different.

Millbridge Court Never Disappoints

A Millbridge Court wedding always delivers, and on this sunny May day, the venue was glowing. Millbridge features two stunning high-vaulted halls each bathed in glorious natural light that streams through fully glazed gable-ends. The ceremony took place in the smaller, left-hand hall and after Grace & George had tied the knot we all spilled outside to shower them with confetti. During the reception there was a great moment when Grace, who had learnt to sabre champagne on her hen, was encouraged to demonstrate this feat. With a sabre sadly unavailable (c’mon people!) she had to attempt it with a table knife. The bottle wasn’t having it, so she took matters into her own hands and went full F1 podium!

Every wedding has its standout personalities, and this time, a special shout-out has to go to George’s best men. These guys were pure gold—funny, heartfelt, and absolutely on form all day long. Whether delivering top-tier speeches or keeping the energy levels high on the dance floor, they played a huge role in making the day as memorable as it was.

It was also a real pleasure to work with Sue from Lavender Hill Flowers again. Her flowers are invariably knockout and they complemented Millbridge Court’s aesthetic beautifully, with soft, natural tones that suited the day perfectly.

Golden Hour & A Night to Remember

As the sun began to dip, the light at Millbridge Court worked its magic once again, giving us the perfect opportunity for portraits. I’ve been doing this for quite a long time now, and to some extent I reckon you can judge the quality of a wedding by the amount of time the Bride & Groom spend on the shoulders of their mates. As the photos reveal, the dance floor was absolutely wild and Grace & George spent a considerable spell aloft! Big shout out to Chris from Chess DJs for keeping the party pumping all night long.

Grace & George, thank you for letting me be part of your marvellous Millbridge Court Wedding—it was an absolute blast and I loved every moment.
